Using digital technology safely and effectively

The network will be hosting a one day event to help clinicians select and use digital technology such as smartphone/tablet applications and also virtual reality.

The day will be led by Gill Pearl (CEO Speakeasy)  and the team from BASIC, with presentations from local clinicians and organisations who help people with neurological conditions access digital technology.

Programme to follow shortly but the day will cover:

  • Setting up and using devices such as tablets in teams
  • Safe selection of effective technology e.g. apps
  • What digital technology is out there and how can it be accessed
  • Using digital technology effectively with patients and their families
