Our next event will focus on swallowing and nutrition and will be delivered by a SLT and two dieticians. The swallow session will cover: the physiology of swallowing; explain dysphagia; SLT role; instrumental assessment clips (vfs, fees); IDDSI and practical feeding advice.
The dietician led session will focus on:
- Potential nutritional difficulties for stroke patients
- Nutritional screening
- Food first/Fortification advice
- Role Nutritional supplements
- Role of enteral nutrition in stroke patients
There will be lunch provided 12.30-1pm to allow delegates to network after the event.
