Improving stroke care and outcomes – learning from system partnerships
The network recently attended an event in London hosted by the Stroke Association to share national and local best practice. The day explored how system partnership and collaborations could help
improve care and outcome for stroke survivors.
The first session focused on system collaboration already taking place nationally within the stroke landscape. Speakers included:
- Sam Stringer, Programme Manager at NHSE/I
- Dr Deb Lowe, National Clinical Director for Stroke at NHSE/I
- Dr David Hargroves, Joint National Clinical Lead for Stroke Medicine at NHSE/I
- Juliet Bouverie, Chief Executive at the Stroke Association
The next session took a deeper dive look at enhancing rehabilitation and developing clinical networks fit for the future. The third segment showcased best practice in integrated care system partnership working across the country.
The day closed with a Q&A panel and summing up by Juliet Bouverie.
